Homemade Italian Salad Dressing Mix

Homemade Italian Salad Dressing Mix

My mother in law came up with a great italian salad dressing mix that we are loving!  Our herb garden didn’t do to well last summer, but I am hoping to grow most of these herbs this summer and dehydrate them to use in this, and lots of other things, all year long!  Until then, Winco has a great selection of dried herbs!

Italian Salad Dressing Mix

  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • 1 TBSP onion powder
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 2 TBSP dried oregano
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 TBSP dried parsely
  • 1/4 tsp dried celery flakes
  • 1 1/2 TBSP salt

Dressing:

  • 2 TBSP dressing mix
  • 1/4 c. vinegar (white wine or red wine)
  • 2 TBSP water
  • 2/3 c. oil  (I used olive)

It is fresh and full of flavor…perfect for the lettuce that will soon appear in our garden!  Yay for summer coming soon, and lots of garden fresh salad, and dressing!!

Here’s a great deal on seeds to start your herb garden this year!!
